| With effect from 26th August 2007 machine Readable Passport (MRP) is issued
by Govt.of India. JUMBO PASSPORTS (60 pages)
will also be issued. (Please check with the Embassy/Consulates the
exact starting date of MRP.) Passports
will be printed at Delhi and couriered to Embassy/Consulates in Germany for issue to
applicants, within 10 days of receipt of electronic data by the Ministry.
Only in emergency cases, hand-written passports will be
issued.
