| After about 22 years of stay in Germany and about
23 visits to Kerala, I feel it is not an easy task to travel to my place.
Usually it takes one and a half days (36 Hours) to reach my destination in Kerala
and the same duration on the way back. We have enough number of Airports in Kerala,
more than in any other state in India. Despite this, travel to my place is not
easy. About 99 % of the international flights from Europe reach Mumbai
International Airport at around midnight. Transit to the Domestic Airport at Mumbai at
midnight by Taxi or by Airport Bus with luggage, sleepy and tired children is a difficult
task. Waiting at the Domestic Airport for about 8 to 10 Hours for connecting
flights is indeed tedious. If airlines are allowed to fly from
European Airports directly to any one of the International Airports in Kerala with or
without a stopover in Delhi, Mumbai, or Madras, it will be a very easy and
attractive journey, especially for those who live in Europe, USA and Canada. Such an
air route will naturally attract tourists who want to visit "GODS
OWN COUNTRY" KERALA. Now we always tend to avoid frequent visits to
Kerala due to the inconvenience and the duration of time involved to reach the
destination. While hosting this Home page, I thought there may be so
many who feel like me or suffer too much to reach their destination in Kerala.
Additionally, after the discontinuation of Air India Flights from Germany, it is very
difficult to get seats in other flights especially on short notice.

REQUEST FOR A DIRECT FLIGHT FROM
GERMANY-FRANKFURT TO KERALA
Honourable
Minister/Representative,
Being a proud citizen of India/a person of Indian origin, I would like to take this
opportunity as my privilege to put forward the following points for your kind
consideration and a positive decision in public and national interest.
I am an Indian citizen/a person of Indian Origin from Kerala State working in Europe/USA/
Canada. You may kindly note the difficulties/time involvement etc mentioned above by
the author of this page, to reach my native place due to non-availability of
direct flights from Europe.
Considering the above facts and the rare possibility to fly directly to Kerala, I
request you to see into the matter and make a positive decision.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully
